She’s not exactly known as the princess of pop for her squeaky clean lyrics.

But Rihanna did a good job of proving that she can master a sugar-sweet image with the best of them on Saturday afternoon as she headed out for lunch in Paris.

The 27-year-old visited one of the French capital’s most popular eateries, L’Avenue, in a candyfloss-coloured dress and matching accessories as she took a break from Fashion Week madness.

The superstar wore Barbie lipstick, retro pink shades and a co-ordinating Christian Dior handbag to pull together the image.

Her dress, an all-frills belted number by the French fashion house, skimmed off at her thighs to show off her enviable pins as she made a beeline for the eatery in the midst of fan hysteria.

Rihanna elongated her slender frame with pointed heels, similarly in a subtle sugary shade, and was adorned all over with jewels.

The Umbrella singer, keeping her head down and unable to raise a smile, has her red tresses styled sweetly into ringlets about her shoulders; looking particularly polished and well put together.

A long pink jacket was held out to the star by her entourage as she passed through but she seemed to prefer to do her mini dress justice without the final top layer.

Her bodyguards had to usher her in with some trouble because her arrival understandably caused a stur on the streets of the fashion capital.

She was taking a welcome break from Fashion Week, where the rest of her contemporaries have gathered for the SS16 previews.

Only the previous evening, Rihanna had made her PFW debut with an appearance at the Dior show, where she took the front row.

She was similarly sporting a more girlie image than usual and dressed in an oversized cape dress that billowed around her form.
